The base trim levels of these
two SUVs run on inline four-cylinder engines with comparable power
outputs, the Kia Sorento ultimately generates more power overall as its
most powerful model is capable of 290 total horsepower, while the most
powerful engine of the Sportage generates 240 horsepower. However, the
Kia Sportage offers an advantage in performance as all of its trim
levels come available with the Dynamax™ All-Wheel Drive System; this
feature is available on most trims of the Sorento but is absent from the
base.
Interior Space
A comfortable and useful interior
can mean everything to a Stonewall SUV driver, so if you are looking for
the larger of these two crossovers, the Kia Sorento is your best bet as
it seats up to seven passengers. However, the Kia Sportage more than
makes up for this with its cargo bay area which can hold up to 30.7
cubic feet of cargo volume. The Kia Sorento features 11.3 cubic feet of
cargo space behind the third row, though more is available with the
seatbacks folded in.
Features
While both of these
crossovers offer a lot of the same conveniences and entertainment
features, the Kia Sportage has a few advantages in this area as it
offers a bit more simplicity to Greenwood or Coushatta drivers, with
which one to choose. The Sportage comes available in three trims, each
one offering a lot of comfort and convenience, whereas the Sorento
offers six trims to choose from. As a bonus, heated front seats come
available on all three trims of the Sportage.
Both of these SUVs
have something for many drivers, so come test drive one at Orr Kia
Bossier City, located outside Shreveport and serving Minden.
